The Clean Air Campaign must keep pace with our state's booming growth. So far, we've made great progress, but there is still much to be done. Here are just a few of the results we have seen so far.

On the Roads and In the Air

Every day in metro Atlanta, the use of commute alternatives results in 1.2 million vehicle miles not traveled and 600 tons of pollution kept out of the air.
More than 60,000 commuters have participated in Commuter Rewards, an innovative regional incentive program.
Nearly 4,000 metro Atlantans have registered to receive Smog Alerts via e-mail to help them take precautions on bad-air days.
More than 9,000 receive our AirWaves and AirMail Newsletters to stay informed about air quality.

On the Job

The Clean Air Campaign and its nine partners work with nearly 1,500 employers and property management companies.
We have provided more than $7.5 million in free technical assistance to employers since 2000. Each year, The Clean Air Campaign outreach team provides approximately 30,000 hours of consulting time to employers across the region.

In the Schools

The Clean Air Campaign creates lesson plans for schools that show the science behind air quality. The lesson plans were downloaded more than 32,500 times in 2007 alone.
In 2007, our programs reached more than 35,000 students and faculty.
BAIR, the Better Air Bear, performs at more than 70 schools, events and organizations each year, teaching children about air quality and how they can make a difference.

In the Bank

More than 90 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to programs and services that help improve mobility in the 20-county Atlanta region and in other areas around the state.
Each dollar invested in the promotion of commute alternatives yields an annual return of $191; almost a 200-to-1 return on investment.
