Georgia is a great place to live and work. Let’s keep it that way.
People from all over the world come to Georgia for our quality of life. Our economy and population are booming. But if we’re going to continue, we must find solutions to our traffic and air quality challenges now. Government cannot do it alone.
The Clean Air Campaign is a nonprofit organization where business and government work together to improve traffic and air quality.
What are some of the challenges we face?
- When air quality reaches code red in the 20-county area around Atlanta, ER visits by children increase by as much as 37%*
- Air quality affects Georgia’s 200,000 plus children with asthma
- Metro Atlantans waste 132 billion hours per year due to traffic congestion**
What can you do?
By making a tax-deductible donation to The Clean Air Campaign, you support programs for commuters, employers and schools. These efforts are already making a difference. How much?
- Each day, the use of commute alternatives results in 1.2 million vehicle miles not traveled and 600 tons of pollution kept out of the air
- More than 1,000 employers have signed up for our programs representing more than 350,000 commuters
- Clean Air Lesson plans of our Website were downloaded 32,500 times in 2007 alone
- More than 4,000 Georgians have signed up to have Smog Alerts e-mailed to them
The programs and services we provide help make metro Atlanta a better place to live, work and play. But we can’t provide those services without the donations of generous corporations and individuals – individuals like you.
