Kevin Green
Executive Director
Kevin Green joined The Clean Air Campaign as executive director in June 2007. Prior to that Kevin was the vice president of environmental affairs with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, where he worked to advance regional policy initiatives for water resources, air quality and land use.
During his seven-year tenure with the Chamber, Kevin managed the Clean Water Initiative and the public-private Quality Growth Task Force that resulted in the creation of the Livable Communities Coalition, Inc. His role at the Chamber led to his involvement with The Clean Air Campaign, where he has served on the board of directors for four years.
In addition to his service on the board of The Clean Air Campaign, Kevin is the immediate past chair of the board of directors for the Institute for Georgia Environmental Leadership and serves on the boards of the Atlanta Regional Health Forum and the Druid Hills Child Development Center. He is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute and Leadership Atlanta.
Kevin graduated from James Madison University and holds a law degree from Emory University. Before joining the Chamber, he practiced law in Atlanta for 10 years, most recently as a partner with Andre, Blaustein & Green, LLP.
Brian Carr
Director of Communications
Brian Carr joined The Clean Air Campaign as communications director in April 2008. Prior to becoming communications director, Brian worked for Primerica Financial Services (part of the Citigroup network of companies), where he created successful internal and consumer campaigns.
Earlier in his career, Brian managed print and broadcast advertising during the launch of Cingular Wireless for BBDO Atlanta, an advertising agency. He also founded and ran his own firm for a time, providing grassroots marketing, design and interactive media services for e-commerce and retail clients.
Brian graduated from the University of Georgia in 1996 with a degree in journalism. In his spare time, he plays intramural flag football and softball. He and his wife, Elizabeth, live in Pine Lake with their 4-year-old daughter.
Mike Williams
Director of Programs & Employer Services
Mike Williams brings more than 10 years of sales management experience to his position at The Clean Air Campaign. Previously Mike worked for companies providing technology-based business services and solutions, such as InfoMedTek Solutions and Adeptics, Inc. As director of programs and employer services, Mike is responsible for developing and implementing initiatives designed to encourage the use of commute alternatives, as well as spearheading The Clean Air Campaign’s extensive telework services – which includes on-site training of teleworkers and telemanagers, customized program implementation and assessment documentation. Mike’s expertise in developing, motivating and directing sales professionals helps him lead The Clean Air Campaign’s efforts to partner with employers throughout the region.
Mike holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech. In addition to his professional experience, Mike is active in his community, volunteering with a number of civic and church organizations and coaching a variety of youth sports teams.
Susan Bacon
Director of Education
As education director, Susan Bacon leads the development, day-to-day operations and expansion of The Clean Air Campaign’s education program, Clean Air Schools.
Susan had more than 20 years of experience in elementary, middle and high school education, as well as air quality knowledge, before coming to The Clean Air Campaign. Her accomplishments as a professional educator include chairing a middle school science department, developing health and wellness curriculum for middle school students and starting physical education programs at five elementary schools.
Susan’s passion for healthy living led her to develop and implement a state-wide walking campaign and later she served as executive director for the South Carolina Governor’s council on physical fitness.
Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Carolina. She is also a certified grants specialist. She is an avid traveler and cyclist, and met her husband while bicycling across Iowa. She and her husband, Kinney, reside in Lawrenceville.
