With 5.3 million people in the metro Atlanta region today, and millions more expected statewide in the next 25 years, we must take action now to address our traffic and air quality challenges.
The mission of The Clean Air Campaign is to motivate Georgians to take action to improve air quality and reduce traffic congestion.
Our efforts produce results today. We motivate individuals to change their commuting habits and live a clean air lifestyle; partner with employers to promote clean commuting in the workplace; and work with schools to empower children to get involved in cleaning the air.

Formed in 1996 by a diverse mix of organizations, The Clean Air Campaign is a nonprofit organization that works collaboratively with government and private-sector organizations. Funding is provided in part through a grant that is part of the federal transportation bill. To receive this grant, we must raise a 20 percent match, which is provided through the commitment and generosity of our sponsors.

The Clean Air Campaign works year-round to educate the public and to encourage voluntary efforts to improve air quality.
The Clean Air Campaign works collaboratively with nine other organizations to promote the use of commute alternatives throughout metro Atlanta. Efforts are now underway in areas outside Atlanta to promote commute alternatives as well.
