What We Do
The Clean Air Campaign works year-round to educate the public and to encourage voluntary efforts to improve air quality. To this end, we offer a variety of programs and services to employers, employees, schools and individuals, while also serving as a central resource for information and education.
Programs and services include:
- Employer program assistance to aid employers in Georgia setting up commute options and other smog-reduction programs, including car and vanpooling, teleworking and transit pass programs. Employer program assistance in the metro Atlanta is provided cooperatively by The Clean Air Campaign and nine other organizations. See resources available in your area.
- Marketing the RideSmart regional rideshare service to employers, employees and other residents of Georgia.
- Financial incentive programs for commuters to encourage the use of carpooling, vanpooling and transit.
- A comprehensive program for schools that includes air quality lesson plans, a hands-on education and traffic reduction program, and a free, in-school assembly program that educates and entertains.
- A regional toll-free call center (1-877-CLEANAIR) staffed to answer questions, provide tools and resources and connect callers with the appropriate employer service representative.
- Distribution of Smog Alert notifications on behalf of the Georgia Environmental Protection Division.
- A Web site, cleanaircampaign.com, that offers downloadable tools such as vanpool sign-up forms, teleworking fact sheets, and RideSmart and Guaranteed Ride Home sign up forms.
- A public information campaign that includes mass advertising, public relations, speakers bureau and community outreach.
