Telework Leadership Initiative

The Telework Leadership Initiative (TLI) is a groundbreaking incentive program that provides employers with up to $20,000 worth of resources to start or expand a telework program.

The inaugural program, launched in late 2003, provided 13 employers with one-on-one consulting services and financial incentives to start or greatly expand their teleworking programs. These employers, the "Class of 2005," have established outstanding programs that can take credit for more than 2,300 new teleworkers. They have also documented true bottom-line benefits:

  • 90 percent of teleworkers report improved morale
  • More than 85 percent of managers report stable or increased productivity - an average increase of about 20 percent.
  • Teleworkers save 107 minutes in commute time for each day they telework, and more than 70 percent spend this time doing more work!
  • At current teleworking levels, participants will reduce more than 10 million vehicle miles from our roads each year.

The Clean Air Campaign is pleased to announce its 2006 TLI participants - these nine employers will work closely with The Clean Air Campaign to plan, implement and evaluate a six-month pilot program:

Association of Black Cardiologists Georgia Parent Support Network
Atlanta Community Food Bank Grady Health System
The Coca-Cola Company, Call Center Perrie & Cole, LLC
Crawford & Company USDA Forest Service
